Building off the Core and IfThen’s extensive library of templates and components, our Enhanced Core allows departments to create new templates or components for special needs that are not provided in the standard library. For the Enhanced Core, we add an additional discovery period to learn more about your department’s specific needs and will identify any new features you may need, including how to integrate these into the larger design elements of the Core. We’ll then build those components or templates before starting with the content mapping and training workshops.

As a new unit of the University, the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering needed a website that reflected its unique and groundbreaking fields of study, while maintaining a close tie to the brand and reputation of the larger University. After reviewing a set of new concepts developed by IfThen, PME leadership elected to adhere to the basic elements of the BSD design library to reinforce this University connection, while applying a distinctive subset of the UChicago color palette to the site and developing a set of specialized components to express the PME’s unique research and culture.
